Youth Advisory Board

GirlVentures’ Youth Advisory Board is made up of young leaders with opinions, ideas, and a commitment to GirlVentures. Participants must be in 9th-12th grade and have previously completed another GirlVentures course. Participating on the Youth Advisory Board is great for anyone who wants to gain leadership experience and build their skillset for future endeavors. Youth participants will be part of a fun-loving group of high school students and adult mentors who are dedicated to supporting GirlVentures’ work and vision.

Youth Advisory Board Details

Board Member Commitment

  • A 9-month commitment during the school year.

  • Meet at least once a month.

  • Act as as ambassadors and volunteers attending at least one or more of GirlVentures community events.

  • Host outreach activities ( i.e. school presentation, tabling event, etc).

  • Engage in service projects with community partners.

  • Participate in 2 annual weekend overnight YAB retreats.
