Volunteer for GirlVentures

 

Volunteers are a vital part of our community & our success!

We would never be able to make the impact we do without the incredible support of our volunteers. During the course of a year, over 100 women and men volunteer their talents, time, and energy in support of GirlVentures.

There are many ways for you to get involved:

• Join our emai list for announcments on upcoming needs
  (typically office or event help needed in the coming weeks)

• Check out our Volunteer Calendar for opportunities
  (then email our volunteer coordinator to let her know what you're interested in)

• Mentor an adolescent girl through Girlz Climb On
  (Check specific program dates)

• Be a "Fairy" for our summer outdoor adventure courses
  (summer only)
  

• Spread the word about who we are & what we do
  This is a really simple, yet profound way to support what we're doing! By talking to your friends, family and coworks about us you can help us recruit girls, raise money and broaden our marketing efforts!

• Come to our monthly Volunteer Nights: from 5:30-7:00pm the 1st Thursday of the month
  (NO volunteer night in July or August due to summer programs - please visit our calendar for a plethora of other opportunities.)

• If you are interested in an ongoing project:
  (internships, graduate research projects, event planning or newsletter coordination)

  1. Fill out the Volunteer Questionnaire,
  (Note: If you want to mentor, you must fill out the mentor application).

  2. And email volunteer@girlventures.org with a proposal for the work you'd like to do specifically outlining your relevent skills and desired outcomes.

  We love working with interns and would gladly support you in earning credit for your volunteer work!
