Enjoy a sunny 3-mile stroll around Lake Merritt while raising funds for programs that challenge Bay Area girls to cultivate their leadership skills.
For the third year, the walk will be entirely organized by our very own Girls Advisory Board (GAB), high-school girls who LOVED their GirlVentures experience and want to ensure ALL girls have access to these great programs!
Our goal is to raise over $9,000 – exceeding last year’s total and providing 6+ scholarships for our summer programs. Each GAB member and mentor has committed to personally raising $250.
Bring the whole family (even the dog) – there will be lively music, yummy snacks, and plenty of fun to be had.
Following your walk you can continue to stroll right on over to the Grand Lake Farmers market for more great fun, food & music.

Directions
Meet/start at the Colonnade across from the Oakland Library Lakeview Branch, just off El Embarcadero between Grand Ave and Lakeshore Ave (by the fountain at the northeast corner of the lake).
